Banff Workshop - February 2018
Dnipro Choir together with a few members from Axios Men’s Ensemble, enjoyed an exciting and inspirational weekend workshop at the Banff Arts Centre. We would like to thank all the Faculty at the Centre who led the sessions, and most importantly Michael Zaugg, Artistic Director of Pro Coro Canada, who was instrumental in developing the program. We were fortunate that the faculty accepted our application for this inaugural event. Dnipro Choir and A Joyful Noise (Thursday choir) had the privilege to work with Lone Larsen, Ugis Praulins, members of Pro Coro, and selected participants in the conducting and composing portion of the Choral Art program. We were exposed to so many new techniques that we’ll apply and implement in our future work as a choir! We were treated to an amazing concert by Pro Coro featuring Praulins’ “The Nightingale”. A GREAT time was had by all, but unfortunately we have to go back to cooking our own meals! We were royally feasted at every meal by 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️chefs!
